The Brief

While expanding her practice, and building a name for herself, Dr. Christine Meyer requested the development of a unique brand identity that could not be mistaken for anyone else’s. She wanted that identity to reflect the comprehensive care, teamwork, and professionalism without being too “corporate.” .

My approach

My idea was to create an identity that felt as personal as Dr. Meyer’s care and to convey her approach to treating patients: human and connected, and sophisticated but not corporate. I wanted to create a recognizable identity, unique only to her, that would become her personal brand as well as grow with the practice.

Christine Meyer, MD’s CMMD logo is a palindrome-like mark created with her initials and the letters of her medical credential. The subtle connection of the letters as people encapsulate Dr. Meyer’s personal and compassionate approach to healthcare, and the teamwork within her growing practice.

The identity was adapted for lab coats and scrubs, interior decor, the website, signage, business cards, letterheads, appointment cards, and other marketing materials.

The Outcome

At launch, the CMMD identity was fully embraced by Dr. Meyer and her team.

The practice experienced a significant increase in patient inquiries and new patient registrations within the first six months of rebranding and grew from a staff of three to a staff of 10 within two years.

The CMMD identity endures and has grown with Dr. Meyer’s practice and pursuits. It was adapted for Dr. Meyer’s Team CMMD 501c-3 charity startup. CMMD has become the “nickname” of the practice. It is familiar in the community, even to those who aren’t her patients. It is her personal brand and her legacy, and it is proudly displayed on her vanity license plate.
