The experience behind the work

Fifteen plus years of in-house, agency, and my own studio experience. What remains constant are my beliefs: that design is a business tool, not a decoration; that a clear brief and desired outcome are imperative; and that the best creative work looks effortless because someone worked very hard on the thinking behind it . . . and the execution.

Good creative leadership isn’t one style. It’s knowing when to inspire, when to roll up your sleeves, and when to get out of the way so talented people can do what they do best.

A few things that don't fit neatly on a resume

I volunteer for causes I believe in. I’m certified as a ski patroller and a yoga teacher. And I was a founding board member of a nonprofit. I mention these because they all point to the same thing: I show up fully for whatever I’m doing, and I care about doing good in the world.

Additionally, I’m inspired by white space on pages and on mountains, I’m convinced that dark chocolate is the only chocolate worth the calories, and I’m committed to the Oxford comma.
