The Challenge

When I joined Paradigm, it was a young, fast-moving company with ambitious growth plans but little creative infrastructure. There was no established brand system, limited marketing resources, and a business model that was still taking shape.

As the company grew, so did the complexity. New services, audiences, and business units emerged and were acquired, including Elite Collegiate Planning (ECP) for client acquisition, College Planning Network (CPN) for advisor training and support, and a student services platform serving families directly. College Knowledge evolved from a podcast into an identity and content platform spanning all business units.

The challenge became larger than building a brand. It was creating enough clarity and consistency to hold an increasingly complex organization together—while keeping the creative function flexible enough to respond as business priorities continued to change.

My Approach

I began by establishing the creative foundation: a cohesive identity, brand standards, and a visual and verbal system that could work across the organization. From there, my role expanded from building the brand to directing how it evolved.

I partner with leadership to translate changing business priorities into creative strategy, determining when the organization needs consistency, when a business unit needs its own voice, and how each initiative fits within the larger brand. That has included guiding distinct identities and experiences for ECP, CPN, and College Knowledge while maintaining a recognizable connection to Paradigm (the umbrella company).

As the scope of the work increased, I also helped build the creative function around it. I direct and mentor internal team members and lead freelancers, developers, writers, photographers, motion designers, and other creative partners as needs shift. I stay close enough to the work to protect the ideas and quality, while creating the systems, templates, workflows, and tools that allow others to execute effectively.

The same approach extends beyond traditional creative. I have helped shape new customer experiences, campaigns, educational programs, digital platforms, and marketing operations—including the transition from seasonal in-person workshops to a scalable year-round virtual model and the systems that support it.

The Outcome

A Brand that Scales with the Business

The brand continues to evolve. As Paradigm has grown from a staff of six to more than 20, plus a network of contractors and virtual assistants, the identity and system I built gave the company something to grow into instead of something to work around.

The workshop program grew from 15 local events a year to three per week held all over the country. The registration and communication system I built in HubSpot and Zapier, and our webinar platform made that possible. It removed hours of manual work and cut down on errors. And it made the customer experience consistent whether someone registered for a workshop in Texas or Vermont.

Elite Collegiate Planning, College Planning Network, and College Knowledge have all launched under this system. Each has its own identity and its own audience, but each one is still recognizably Paradigm.

The creative foundation now supports a team more than three times its original size. New hires, freelancers, and partners can pick up the templates and workflows and execute without me in the room. That’s freed me up to focus on where the brand goes next.
